Introduction

FIRST GUIDE GUYS!
Welcome to my (.lnks) guide to my all time favourite hero Timbersaw, who is one of the games best mid-game heroes thanks to his skill-set. Being able to dominate the mid game gives space for your carry to farm and win the game. But, in some cases you can end up taking the #1 spot in your team thanks to your snowballing ability. Timbersaws high damage is courtesy of his 2nd skill, Timber Chain. This skill also gives great chase, making him a great ganker.

I really do think that Timbersaw should be used much more in competitive gaming. He provides great ganking, great mobility and doesnt need too many items. His being able to dominate the mid-game gives your carry room to farm. If Timbersaw is allowed to farm, he can snowball out of controll thanks to his spammable Timber Chain and Chakram

Lore.
Rizzrack could still hear the screams in his mind. He worked, frantically turning wrenches, twisting screws, building and carving and forging. Sleep eluded him; he only built. Months had passed since he had shut himself in his uncle's workshop, and his deliverance was nearly complete. He rubbed his back as his eyes drifted shut, and saw a blanket of flowers floating on the placid waves of Augury Bay before exploding into a cloud of pollen that silenced lives as it seized the lungs. He woke with a choking start. For hours the rhythmic sound of a whetstone filled the shop as he sharpened a set of massive blades, his mind filled with images of strangling vines garroting neighbors, enwrapping homes. The flooding of Augury Bay had been nothing compared to the violent horrors the waters left to take root beyond the city walls. But the saw-suit would make him strong and safe he thought, allowing himself this sliver of hope before the full might of his fear crashed into his fading mind. Branches and blood. When the city fell, Rizzrack fled trees that walked, and fought, and killed. Trees had shattered the gates and swarmed into the city. Trees had crushed and thrashed and stomped the last that Augury Bay could muster in defense, and stalked the few fleeing refugees. In addled silence Rizzrack unspooled the thick chain from the suit's arm, his hands quaking as he inspected each link and ran a trembling finger along the claw attached at its end. The saw-suit was ready.
With his hand trembling he sparked the bladed machine to life. Terror drove him, terror of what awaited him and of what he would have to face to have any hope of calming his mind. As the saw-suit shuddered to life he knew he must face this fear, and he knew he wouldn't like it one bit.

Chakram

Type:
Targets:

Active
Target Point
Fires your main saw blade at the target location, and once there the blade will spin, dealing damage in an area around it and slowing enemies. For each 5% of health missing, enemies caught in the saw blade move more slowly. The blade deals damage and cuts down trees in its path when fired and retracted. You lose the ability to attack and your mana gets drained while the blade is out.

Notes:
  • Chakram returns to you if you go more than 2000 units away. Destroys trees.
  • The Chakram travels at a speed of 900.
  • Passthrough damage may only be dealt to the same target once in each direction. In other words, a target can only take the initial 100/140/180 damage from Chakram once, no matter how many times they enter or leave the AoE. However, the moment the return is activated, that target becomes valid for another instance of 100/140/180 damage if Chakram touches it.

Item Builds

Bloodstone

So this is your standard, well off Timbersaws build. We start off with the standard Stout/Clarity/Heal/Stat items to ensure we have a good start to the game, because, as a midgame hero we need those items to make sure we do ****.

So, by 7~ minutes we should have Arcanes, and if you're in a solo lane, level 6. Now you can farm up that magic wand.

Time to farm the Bloodstone. We get a Ring of Health to sustain ourselves through the laning phase, and slowly move onto the point booster, the vitality booster and then the void stone. Dismantle your Arcane Boots to finish off your Bloodstone. Now, with your core item complete, you are free to gank and roam and farm.

After the Bloodstone, how ever, you may chose the offensive or defensive path. If you are dominating the game you can consider Scythe of Vyse , Necronomicon, Shiva's Guard etc
But if you find yourself being pinned by stuns/silences, you can chose to get Hood of Defiance, Black King Bar or even a Linkens sphere.

Linkens

Enemy team got that pesky Doom or Lina? Well! Better build a LINKENS! Start off with the standard Stout/Clarity/Heal/Stat items to ensure we have a good start to the game, because, as a midgame hero we need those items to make sure we do ****. (Copy Paste, shut up)

Now, by 10~ minutes you really should have Boots of Speed and Perseverance. And by 15-20 minutes a Linken's Sphere.

After your Linken's Sphere you can begin to focus on your other items

After you get Linkens, BoT and another item, you're set. Go gank. Go win.

Vyse/Shivas

Start off with the standard Stout/Clarity/Heal/Stat items to ensure we have a good start to the game. (Im getting Lazy now!)

This is a personal favourite, and more for pubs :b

By 13~ minutes we have Arcane Boots, Magic Wand and Ghost Scepter.

We INSTANTLY begin to farm the Mystic Staff. The INT will give us a fair bit of mana, and with Arcane Boots, will allow us to stay in lane.

Now, either start to farm up Platemail and the recipe or Ultimate Orb and Void Stone. After your Vyse/Shivas you can begin to build up, getting Necronomicon, Euls, dagon or even Ethereal Blade. These allow you to get more kills mid game.

Also, if the enemy team has a Clinkz or a Weaver, consider buying a blademail to defend from their 1v1 attacks.

HALT!

Look, Im getting bored of this typing, so Ill get to the point. This skill build is just rushing a Rod of Atos and Tranqs. The best build for 15~ Minute ganks. Scythe of Vyse is another slow/disable, and can be picked up after all those ganks.
