Erm Start With The Skills For Those Who Never Played Him

Hm.. You might aswell miss this chapter if you know what his skill are all about no need to waste your time :D..

And for those who never played skywrath i will include the skills + a little video showing what they are instead of having to imagine them .. :D
Skywrath launches a slow-moving bolt of arcane magic, dealing damage to an enemy unit based on Skywrath's intelligence.

Base damage: 60/80/100/120
Bonus damage based on Skywrath Mage's Intelligence: 1.6x
Range: 800

The projectile gives 325 vision around itself.
Cannot be disjointed by blinking, going invisible, etc.
Upon impact, it reveals the target area for 3.34 seconds.

Cooldown: 5/4/3/2 Mana Needed: 70

Thats how arcane bolt looks like ^^

Concussive Shot

Skywrath sets off a long range shot that hits the closest hero within a long range. Upon impact, it deals damage and slows in an area of effect.

Range: 1600
Damage: 60/120/180/240
Slow: 40%
Slow radius: 200
Slow duration: 4

Cooldown - 20/18/16/14 Mana - 110 erm quite alot..

Does not work when no heroes are in range or heroes are in fog.
Damages creeps around the impact area.
Has no effect when no visible heroes are in range.
Projectile gives 400 flying vision around itself while traveling.
Cannot be disjointed by blinking, going invisible, etc.
Becoming magic immune will not remove the slow debuff. It cannot be purged.
Upon impact, it reveals the target area for 3.34 seconds.
It will not target illusions.

Advantages and Disadvantages of these 2 skills together

Well the advantages are that these skills can really kick *** on a low hp hero especially if he is close to you and you chase him. Why is that? First of all you slow him + you have a really low cooldown + this dmg combination you probably know what happens if not i will show you in a vid again ^^..

Ancient Seal

Skywrath seals the targeted unit with an ancient rune, silencing it and causing it to take additional damage from spells.

Duration: 3/4/5/6
Magical damage amplification: 18/24/30/36%
Range: 700

Cooldown - 11 Mana - 80/90/100/110

Why is this skill important ?

Well i have put this skill last in the list where you have to up them however i have a reason for this. This skill is really essential in late and early game because it reduces enemies magical resistance by a whole 36%! Furthermore it costs quite a lot of mana + in early game you don't have much mana and you want to focus on upping your first and second skills not only for last hitting but for chasing and killing targets easier. Then therefore when you get to higher level have aghanim, shadow, bloodstone etc, etc up this skill and combine it with ultimate and i will explain how.

Shadowblade - 3rd skill - 1&2 skill - Ultimate = 100% death in most cases ^^

In other words jump behind the hero and cast these skills no way he will survive obviosuly if it's a 1v1 fight dont jump on 5 heroes.. :D

Last but not least the Ultimate

Mystic Flare

Skywrath uses his ultimate magical ability to conjure a precise and violent mystical field that lays waste to his adversaries. Deals massive damage distributed evenly among any heroes in the area over 2 seconds.
Total damage: 600/1000/1400
Duration: 2
Radius: 170
Range: 1200

Cooldown without aghanim 60/40/20 With Aghanim (20/10/0*)

Mana cost 350/575/800 (Thats why you need blood stone mate)

Damage is of all your skils are blocked from BKB and so on so be careful ^^

Notes:
Mystic Flare selects from only real heroes to divide damage among its targets (illusions aren't harmed and don't soak any of the damage).
If it hits 1 enemy, it will deal the full 600/1000/1400 damage.
If it hits 2 enemies, it will deal 300/500/700 damage.
If it hits 3 enemies, it will deal 200/333/467 damage.
If it hits 4 enemies, it will deal 150/250/350 damage.
If it hits 5 enemies, it will deal 120/200/280 damage.
Pulses once every 0.1 seconds (20 pulses at 30/50/70 damage each, each divided as described above).
Given sufficient gold in the late-game, Skywrath Mage can scale exceedingly well as a nuker: With an Aghanim's Scepter and a 4000 mana pool, with sufficient regeneration, Mystical Flare can be spammed up to 5 times on a single target with minimal time, due to the lack of animation durations between casts. This means that it will do 5250 magical damage in slightly over 2 seconds on a single, typical enemy target, making Skywrath Mage one of the hardest-hitting heroes, given enough gold and time.

That's all about the skills go to the next chapter now ^^

Here is a quick video on me playing skywrath hope you like it ^^

Simple Intro & Starter Kit Requirements

Well Skywrath is one of the easiest heroes in Dota 2 in my opinion and is really good in early games if you know how to play therefore i am going to make one of these simple guides to tell you what is most essential for this hero and how to kick *** with it ^^

Furthermore i am not going to go in detail like other guides about the hero's history and bla bla bla to bore you out and i will go straight to the point. (By the way thats one of my first guides so calm down if you expect to read a book :D)

Why Skywrath?

Well he is a simple hero with simple skills you just need enough mana to spam and wait for the right moment and kill.

Why start with the starter kit?

Bottle

Well in my opinion having bottle on mid with skywrath is essential because you spam a lot of skills therefore you won't have to go base when your mana/hp finishes instead you capture a new rune if you are lucky enough and here you go "REFILL"!

Tranquiul Boots

Well i always pick for tranquil boots and a lot of you will disagree but why them instead of arcane boots? I pick for tranquil because when you level up a bit you will have to start ganking lanes therefore you gonnna travel a lot and in the mean time this boots both give you 90 Speed 4 armor + 13 hp regen when not broken which in other words means when you are not attacked or attack for 13 seconds they activate and give you that super bonus which in my opinion in super cheap for the bonuses it gives you.

What happens when the bonus brakes? Well you lose the 13 hp regen and 30 movement speed which adds up to 60 movement speed however it still starts after 13 sec and the only cost 975 GOLD !!

Healing Salve

Well with this bottle you already got i suppose healing salve is just incase your bottle runs out or your boots are out of bonus and therefore you need to regain hp quicky. E.g someone is chasing you and is about to last hit you the salve might save your life which in my case have done a lot of times ^^

I suppose you already know that healing salve costs 115 gold :D?

Bloodstone Or Shadow Blade First?

Bloodstone or ShadowBlade eh?

Again jump straight into items and why my second chapter is called like that?
Well guess it's to early for aghanim suppose you aren't bothered to go base every 5 min to refill bottle or just hp and stuff like that.

Bloodstone

Ermmm.. Here we go i always make bloodstone on easy heroes which require mana and thats, because it would be much easier for you to make bloodstone and have almost unlimited mana + hp regen while you run around ganking and kicking *** instead of having to go base.

Suree.. Well whats that bloodstone all about?

Charges 8
Passive Bloodpact
Bonus +500 HP
+400 Mana
+9 HP regeneration
+200% Mana regeneration
+10 Damage

Recipe
Bloodstone (5050) Soul Booster (3300) Perseverance (1750)

What Else About BloodStone?

Starts with 8 charges. Gains 1 charge each time an enemy hero dies within 1675 range. Each charge bestows 1 mana regeneration per second, reduces gold lost from death by 25, and reduces respawn time by 4 seconds. When the bearer dies, restores 500 HP + 30 HP per charge to allied units within 1675 range, then loses a third of its charges. While dead, the bearer continues to receive experience at the death location and gives 1800 unit vision there.

The number of charges lost on death is rounded up.
While dead, the bearer has 1800 radius vision at the death location, regardless of whether it is day or night.
While dead, the bearer earns experience in a 1000 radius at the death location.
Bloodpact will only function for the highest priority Bloodstone in your inventory.
Bloodstone charges stack with other bloodstone charges.
The user will respawn instantly if his current level is less than the number of bloodstone charges (provided no buyback penalty is applied). Some effects can drag heroes across the map upon respawn e.g. Timbersaw's Timber Chain.
The +10 damage is not shown on the ingame pop ups.

Guess Bloodstone is pretty important eh? Lets jump to Shadow Blade and choose which one to buy first hehe

Shadow Blade

Well well.. Unlike the bloodstone ShadowBlade costs only 3000 gold ermm .. quite expensive for an item that makes you invis for a few sec .. Anyway lets see why shadowblade can be very beneficial on a hero like that hmm..

Makes you invisible until the duration ends, or until you attack or cast a spell. While Shadow Walk is active, you move 20% faster and can move through units. If attacking to break the invisibility, you gain 150 bonus damage on that attack. Lasts 14 seconds.

Has a 0.3 second fade time.
Activating this item will not break channeling abilities.
150 bonus damage is dealt as a separate non-crittable source of damage.
Bonus damage works on siege creeps and all other magic-immune creeps but not towers or buildings.
Invisibility breaks when the projectile begins to fly for ranged heroes.

Cost

3000 Bought From
Weapons
Active Shadow Walk
Bonus +22 Damage
+30 Attack speed

Recipe

1400 for claymore + 1600 for shadow = shadowblade yayy !!

Here we go now.. Which one to buy first ?

Depending on the game (heroes playing) and how well you do with the creeps and killing if you do well enough i recommend to start with shadowblade and why is that?
Skywrath is a hero you can easily kill with especially if you have ultimate however most of your enemies know your true power therefore as soon as they notice you they will run away and you gonna be upset because you wasted your time chasing .. Remember you can slow them but you don't have any stuns sadly...

On the other hand if you enemies are easy and you know it will be hard for them to kill you just start of with bloodstone because you will save yourself a lot of time and gold and obviously could gang more if doing it in a appropriate time ^^..

Time for the next chapter .. what was it ? It were much harder to do a guide then i thought .. :(

Continue and finish the game ^^

okay suppose you have tranqiul boots, shadow blade, bloodstone already what else to make you the ultimate killer?

Aghanim

Aghanim's Scepter is an Item purchasable at the Main Shop, under Caster. However, it can only be completed with items from the Secret Shop. This item is used to increase the power of a hero's Ultimate ability (with the exception of Tinker and Ogre Magi, whose abilities are augmented instead), which makes it an excellent weapon for a Nuker or a Support type hero.

Passive Ultimate Upgrade
Bonus +10 Strength
+10 Agility
+10 Intelligence
+200 HP
+150 Mana

Why aghanim scepter so late?

Well not that you have quite a bit of mana suppose you are around level 13-16 and you need to start kicking *** a bit more eh?

Aghanim lowers your cooldown on your ultimate therefore you can cast it more often or as much as you want on level 16 (well if you have enough mana)

Shiva Guard

hiva's Guard is an Item purchasable at the Main Shop, under Armor. However, it can only be completed with items from the Secret Shop.

Emits a freezing wave that does 200 damage to enemies and slows their movement by 40% for 4 seconds.
Radius: 900

Active Arctic Blast
Passive Freezing Aura
Bonus +30 Intelligence
+15 Armor

Why 2 Shiva ?

Well it gives you quite a lot of armor + mana and you dont need anything else on such a caster but just a lot of mana to cast your spells therefore i think making 2 shiva's is the best combo however you can only make 1 and do something else if required like (BKB) - Black King Bar which prevents enemy heroes from casting spells on you

I guess thats the ultimate combo and if you want to continue reading i will include some chapters about (Credits, Info About Myself, Teamplay, Example Vid of skywrath) ohh and pros & cons really important :D

Team Work Time Abit Late in the chapters

Well it's a strategic game so teamwork is quite important in order to keep yourself safe and other teammates happy .. You know it's about motivation !!

Having a good teamwork will have you servive due to your hero fragileness (dont know if i spelled it right) due to early game low hp so working with your mates whatever heroes they are would really help you gain more gold, kills and make it fun for everyone.

Lack of teamwork ?

Lack of teamwork might lead you to get pissed off and just lose the game and why is that?
You can make 20 kills, all the items and everything i have listed here in less then 25min however if you don't work with your mates they might be left behind and therefore if there is a strong carry hero on the opposite team say PA he might kick your *** in late no matter what you've got. So how is this going to happen? Well he needs only 1 gem + bkb and before you try to do anything you would be dead, however if you play with your mates they might save your *** and you would be thankful for that.

Pros / Cons

Pros

*Really good at late game if you have the right items
&You can play support or abit of carry and kick *** (i recommend abit of carry) supporting ain't my type mate.
*Good last hit and get kills easily vs low hp heroes
&Ultimate is a total kick *** on the right player
*Pretty easy to last hit with him (in my opinion)

Cons

*A bit fragile in early game a few stuns and you are dead and you would get upset..
*Slow running animal haha
*he is quite ugly hero but oh well it's a game (Traxxes is hot by the way)

That's all about it if you have anything else to include please do ^^

Some info about myself which is not suppose to be here

Well i am a 18 years old guy, been playing dota for around 8 years and now i make youtube imba games on ability draft..

This is my very first long tutorial don't blame me i am really scared of that because i saw 50 people raging on one tutorial and it was really awkward :D

If this tutorial goes well i will make more but i seriously doubt it, however there are a few pro's and con's at doing this aswell.

Pro's

It feels really exciting to make someone learn from you and especially if he likes it

Con's

Would be really bad if it's not what you expected to be, but thats not a book..

Credits - Important so you don't blame it on me :D

The chapter with the skills included 80% information from http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Dota_2_Wiki so credits from them and most of the rest of the work is my work and it took me over 2 hours so hope you like it

Leave comments, opinions, and yeah if you like it motivate me to write more .. i never wrote so much in my life :D

Thanks, Darionn17

Conclusin

The conclusion from this tutorial is to show you the easiest way on how to kick *** with this hero without having to read a whole 50 page book and try different ways. I personally think thats the universal guide for this hero therefore if you have any questions or you want to learn & practice feel free to message me.
