About the Guide Master

Hey Gang ! I made this out of the blue for only one reason: To tell the world of Dota 2 that there is one hero who can manage to do impossible things out of every situation your carry or your team would be, and he is Shadow Shaman "RHASTA" .

This is too much compliment for a hero but i may say he proves to me that he worth the best compliment every one can tell.

I played Dota 2 since 2012 of mid January by the help of my friends who just quit playing Dota 1. With that, i managed to developed my skills for support and utilized all the possibilities Strategies using just one hero - Shadow Shaman. Since then i only playing Shadow Shaman from scrap and scratch but now, I may say that i am a Well-experience Pro Shadow Shaman User that my friends call me as " Rhasta Master " . Not being boastful of myself but that almost 3 years playing till now made me a better offensive lane support hero and i'd like to call myself a Support-Carry hero than can manipulate hard carry heroes and stay in the battlefield with less casualties.


So this Guide i should say is a guide wherein a Shadow Shaman MUST PLAY !

A DURABLE Shadow Shaman

A HERO THAT CAN STAY LONG IN THE BATTLEFIELD.
A HERO THAT CAN DISABLE 3 HEROES IN ONE TIME.
A HERO THAT CAN GANK-KILL-PUSH.
A HERO THAT CAN RAPE ENEMIES AND MAKE YOUR ENEMY AS GOOD AS TRASH.
A HERO THAT EVERYONE HATES TO SEE IN GAME.

Pros / Cons

Pros

- Can easily destroy towers without being noticed.
- Can accompany any hero when Ganking.
- Can disable 2-3 or even 4 heroes at a time.
- Can do solo lane and lane control
- Can be a carry in mid game or even in late game if items got lock in 30mins
- Can end the game as fast as 25mins.
- Has a lot of funny responses to enjoy with. lol !


Cons

- Squishy
- Slow movement speed
- Aimed mostly in clash
- Aimed by Invisible Heroes like Nyx Assassin Riki Bounty Hunter

Skills and Skill Sequence

Ether Shock
Creates a cone of ethereal energy that strikes multiple enemy units.
Range: 600
Starting Area Of Cone: 200
Distance Of Cone: 500
Final Area Of Cone: 300
Number of Targets: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
Damage: 140 / 200 / 260 / 320

Mana Cost: 95 / 105 / 135 / 160 Cooldown Time:[/color] 8

Can hit Secondary targets up to 1000 meters away.

-In my Skill Sequence, level 1 Ether Shock damage is good at 140 having 8 seconds cooldown. In creeps, if your enemy is putting pressure on your last hitting, you can use this as an alternative not bad for a 95 mana for a sure gold. Its also good for taking 1st blood for its 140 damage is quite enough for squishy heroes. You can use this twice in taking 1st blood at Rune areas wherein in 8 seconds is not long enough to cast two of this and its advantage of casting rage of 600 is far enough for escaping ******s.
-In level 2 Ether Shock is now a hitting 2 birds with one stone. Cast it to heroes, it will strikes nearby heroes or creeps nearby with 200 damage is OUCH !

TIPs at Ether Shock
- after a cast, autoclick to the enemy to quick normal attack.




Hex

Transforms an enemy unit into a harmless creature, disabling their attacks and abilities.
Range: 500
Duration: 1.25 / 2 / 2.75 / 3.5

Mana Cost: 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 Cooldown Time:[/color] 13

Instantly Destroy Illusions.
Target will have a base movement speed of 100 except if its in HASTE.
Disable BLOCK & EVASION.

- 13 secs cooldown is awesome to disable enemies again and again. this skill must use wisely and strategically.
- It can be use to drop your Mass Serpent Ward in place to deal the piercing damage within in the best radius.
- What ??????!!! Disable Block and Evasion ??!! Thats Insane !! Bad for you Phantom Assassin and Axe and others.




Shackles

CHANNELED - Magically binds an enemy unit so that it cannot move or attack, while dealing damage over time.

Range: 400
Channeling Duration: 2.75 / 3.5 / 4.25 / 5.0
Damage Per Second: 40


Mana Cost:140 / 150 / 160 / 170 Cooldown Time:[/color] 16

- In my skill Sequence, i only put one skill point why ? because im not into a long duration of holding of heroes because you might as well be the target of heroes that are ready to attack. that 2.75 secs in level one is long enough to hold for a kill or assist. Making this level 1 all along to level 22 safest way to have good survivability in clashes and ganking.
- Never use this skill with two or more enemies when your alone. its suicidal.
- Its good to use this skill with Necronomicon or if your in Manta Style Illusions with Mass Serpent Ward with it for a SURE KILL !
- its 140 mana at level 1 is sure managable and worth for the kill.
- 16 secs cooldown time ? well, quite good. better than nothing.
- Max this skill if your on a late game session going level 22-25. But still it depends in the situation in the battlefield. its your call !




Mass Serpent Ward

Summons 10 serpent wards to attack enemy units and structures. The wards are immune to magic, and have a small area of splash damage that increases per level.
SCEPTER UPGRADABLE: Increases ward damage.
Range: 550
Serpent Wards Duration: 45
Serpent Wards Damage: 39-43[/color] (85-90*) / 54-58 (105-110*) / 69-73 (125-130*)


Mana Cost: 200 / 350 / 600 Cooldown Time: 120

Piercing Splash type damage. OUCH !!

- Must Cast as near as possible the enemy to ensure pure damage followed by a shackles in no time just right before or after the Mass Serpent Ward.
- You can cast Hex 1st to successfully place your Mass Serpent Ward and cast your Shackles in the right place.
- You can cast this Mass Serpent Ward in advance position if your chasing a 1-300 HP enemy in high grounds and your in low grounds vice versa. Its an Auto Attack Monster !

Tips with Mass Serpent Ward

- Cast it as much as possible in every cooldown time if your not in gank, the best is with the towers. its only 120 secs. got it ? Dont Hesitate !

Starting Items

Observer Ward - a must bring in starting game. Place in a decent areas likes runes or ganking areas and neutral areas.



Clarity - as i said in skills, you are going to harrass a hero using Ether Shock or making last hit of creeps. a 2 pieces of Clarity solves the problem.



Tango - if you are being harra***, much better to be ready than to do nothing just wait for the creeps died and pull. you should be able to face off with them and exchange normal attacks necessary. Thats where survivability matters in starting game rather than going home just to regen.



Gauntlets of Strength - Survivability matters ! Better Stats the longer you can stay in the lane. A way in making Bracer



Iron Branch - Survivability matters ! Better Stats the longer you can stay in the lane. A way in making Magic Wand

In 10 mins to 20 mins Early - Middle Game Must Have in Order

Magic Wand - Survivability matters ! Better Stats the longer you can stay in the lane. its gives 3 stats each and a 15 hp/mana restore in every charge. Usable in ganking or when out of HP and mana. Usable in Clash specially when your lack of mana and you need one Ether Shock to kill, Just a click and hooray the kill is yours !



Bracer - Good Early game item. In level 6 you can have a 900hp and 700 mana out of it with Magic Wand. Fair enough for a support right ?

In 30 mins. Middle Game Must Have Pick One

Before 30 mins time, you must obtained any of these two to ensure your late game items lock before your enemy goes lock too ! You can both get this two items but your must escaping disabling iniatiating BUT you will sacrificing one slot for your late game items that is must be needed to be durable and useful Shadow Shaman in game.



Eul's Scepter of Divinity - If you want to run faster or chase a dying hero quick. you must have these instead of Blink Dagger or Force Staff, why ? Its multi Function ! A whirlwind to disable your hero and 40 Movement speed thats says it all ! 380 movement speed + Arcane Boots is really good ! It also gives 10 stats to intellegent that gives mana boost need for skill spamming and ganking.

-Tip : you can use this with Blink Dagger as a combo BUT there's a rule must follow specially when your attack. Blink Dagger Cooldown to 3 seconds if your attack make sure if you use Eul's Scepter of Divinity your in 2 seconds cooldown time of Blink Dagger because Eul's Scepter of Divinity whirlwind is 2.5 seconds . Thats the time

Blink Dagger is usable for your GREAT ESCAPE !

BUT

when your in barrage of attacks and you use Eul's Scepter of Divinity in that 3seconds cooldown of Blink Dagger, the best way blink as fast is to spam your cursor. well, if your lucky to pass that .5 secs HAHAHAHAAHAH .. just give it a try !



Blink Dagger - you can have this in less than 10 mins time or a little if your Shadow Shaman wants to ganking early game at level 6 or level 7 and a 700 cheaper than Eul's Scepter of Divinity but its your style how will you play the game and a good communication is a factor for successful ganking. You can also evade skills of different heroes in just a second before it hits you. Its also useful in team clashes but don't initiate unless you got Black King Bar or Linken's Sphere in you, you'll be dead in a minute or less. Use this when chasing a dying hero or chasing a hero that aware of your plan of shutting him down.

In 31mins to 45mins Late Game Must have in Order

Have this by by parts before 30 mins if your a fast farmer or pusher or ganker. That means you can successfully have these 3 items before 45 minutes comes in game.


Refresher Orb - Wards Come forth ! Serpents arise ! i'd love to hear them at the same time. So if you have this thing. You are definitely a target ! you should have this at middle to late game because it requires mana to cast a double Mass Serpent Ward. Very Useful in push two lane pushing. Use this wisely coz the cooldown time differs with the Mass Serpent Wards. 120-180 a difference of 1 min. Every minute counts in late game.





Linken's Sphere - This is the item that i may describe Shadow Shaman to be DURABLE ! It Blocks spells so you don't have to worry enough about your hp loss or cancelled Shackles or with Global Silence. Cast your skills all the way Shadow Shaman




Boots of Travel - A must in the late game process because your having too much mana and Mana regeneration so you dont need Arcane Boots lately. Its your job to in and out in lane pushing as much as possible..

Late Game Final Item Options - Be a Carry Shadow Shaman

At this pace of the game, you need the best that suited the situation needed by your Shadow Shaman, is a ???


Bloodstone - Additional of Mana and HP if your still lack of it specially there's an Keeper of the Light with Mana Leak or someone with Mana Burn like Anti-Mage or even someone holds a Diffusal Blade. If you want to be tanky :) you can have this.



Scythe of Vyse - hmmm .. Want a double Hex ? why not ! they will hate you even more just like forever ! your the biggest target to be shut down in clashes if you own 2 hex that can disable their carry and support.



Heart of Tarrasque - A tanky 3k HP Shadow Shaman not bad at all. Tank them and see the how far you can go while your carry eating everyone of them. haahha ..



Necronomicon - If you want to end with a pets with good stats of str and int. Go for this. those summons are cute enough to scratch their butt crack and smell it for 5 secs. hahahahahah !

Know your skills Cooldown Time for your Perfect Combo !

Blink Dagger

Blink Dagger + Ether Shock + Hex + 2 Normal Attacks (with moving block) then go a bit distance + Cast Mass Serpent Ward (if trapped, do 2-3 normal attacks if possible before casting Shackles, if he still breathing shut him off with your Ether Shock then pause and chat. A Shadow Shaman Combo ! HAHAHAHAHAH !



Blink Dagger + Eul's Scepter of Divinity Combo

Blink Dagger + Ether Shock + Hex +2 Normal Attacks (with moving block) then go a bit distance) + Eul's Scepter of Divinity + Cast Mass Serpent Ward + Shackles + Hex + Ether Shock + if dying give him a lot of your normal attacks with a Blink Dagger to chase him. HAAHAHAHAHA ..


Eul's Scepter of Divinity Combo


Run towards the enemy then say Hi, imma kill you !

Cast Hex + running 2 normal attacks and then let him react for you to cast the Ether Shock the cast Eul's Scepter of Divinity and go in position, Drop your Mass Serpent Wards Before he hit the ground so you would be able to Shackles him at the butt, if still alive Ether Shock with auto normal attack till he die.

Linken's Sphere Hand of Midas with 2.9k just boots only. Im almost going to get Aghanim's Scepter i just need 1.3k in 3 minutes. How far can you go to make your build in a time frame and earn money as fast as you can.

I can say that im DURABLE ENOUGH. why ? i dont loss to much HP at the clash and i did my support part because my mana is drain. the Tip here is to make sure not to be the target of the enemy in clashes and make sure once the duel between the close range carry or range carry you back them up with disable skills. Thats when your team can say your a Useful support. alright ?

See my Level ? Level 15. This means you are doing your part as a pusher ganker nuker for your team. Gaining enough experience make you to use your skills in advance level and still an advantage to your team.

See my Last Hit Creeps ? Make use of your Ether Shock always if your out of the lane at neutral or in lane ganking. Never Hesitate to cast it on creeps if you got good regen and good chance coz its MONEY THING and you got a goal --- > that is gaining your build in a time frame.

See my Stats ? +22 ! and a 1.3k Hp is better enough to Manage damage from the enemy. so you are DURABLE. :) :) :)


Hand of Midas - Really ? Yes ! You can get this in 6 minutes time or a minute more add some a bunch of magic techniques in neutral and Last hit creeping abilities. lol . I dont include this coz i know some of you are going to react with this coz its a waste of money but if your good and experience player aiming for your build. This is my alternate build in game.
