FlyKoreanBoi's guide to Rubick!

Hey guys! Mah name is FlyKoreanBoi or FKB for short! This is my first guide and it is for Rubick! Rubick is a hero that can adapt to almost every situation if played the right way and do things at the right time.

Taking a look at his first 3 skills, he seems very versatile. He has a nuke and a stun, so he is very capable of ganking.

Pros and Cons!

PROS
-GREAT mid laner!
-Can adapt to many situations due to his Spell Steal.
-Lots of items go great with this guy!
-Has a nice stun that scales great into late game!
-A magic resistance passive! (Null Field)
-Item independent early to mid game
-600 range

CONS
-Needs to level to gank efficiently.
-Needs to have items to scale into late game.
-Squishy early game!

This chameleon thug has some buddies and rivals!

Rubick has frands from the enemy team because he can steal their spells and use them against them! such as...
Frandsss
- Tidehunter
- Enigma
- Sand King
- Queen of Pain
- Anti-Mage
- Morphling

Bad Guys!
- Doom Bringer
- Night Stalker
- Anti-Mage

Them Skills

When you choose Rubick the first skill you should pop a level into should be Telekinesis for
defensive purposes and maybe a first blood.

But after this you should max Fade Bolt at the level 7.

After maxing out Fade Bolt you should max out Telekinesis. Telekinesis is such a
great skill because you can fling them in the air while attacking them and choose the location
of where they land.

You should also level your ultimate at your standard levels of 6, 11, and
16.

And then last but not least level your passive Null Field last!

Them Items

For starters get your basic health items which are Tangoes and Salves and then get 3 iron wood branches.

Assuming your playing mid solo you should build those iron branches to a Magic Wand! You should also get a fast bottle and then getting Arcane boots because Rubick needs to be spamming them spells!

For the mid game you should get a force staff and adding a blink dagger on top of that which will make you a difficult hero to kill! You don't want to die because upon death you will lose your stolen skills. You thug!

For the late game you should buy a Eul's Scepter, Scythe of Vyse (aka Sheep Stick), and a Mekansm!

For late game you should add a Shiva's Gaurd for tankiness, damage, and good initiation punch!
A ghost scepter could stop them pesky right clickers!

How you play

Imagine your up against a mid hero who can disable you, nuke you, reduce your damage, and steal your best skill. Sounds pretty bad right? Well as Rubick you need to take advantage of these things that you have and use them!

Your cooldown of Telekinesis and Fade Bolt are pretty low so spam them along with your arcane boots! Rubick needs to use Fade Bolt for pushing when appropriate and Telekinesis for aiding you for any rune chase you may encounter!

But keep in mind that even thought he has all these wonderful magical things you have to note that he is a squishy hero. To counter this you need to play smart and don't put yourself in such bad situations! Rubick is hero that can snowball relatively well and one factor is his spell steal!

In mid to late game team fights your goal is pretty obvious! Steal the best spell from someone that has it! And of course you use it! But the other team knows you are stealing your spells so you should hang back and then come in like a thug at the right time! But some Rubick players have tunnel vision when they are trying to get such a great spell that they usually die in the process. But be wary! The enemy can click on you and see what spells you have stolen!

Thanks for listening guies!

This is certainly not the best guide but is it any good? Leave a rating and comment! I'm open to constructive criticism! Maybe more will come? I don't really know my school just started... But anyway! HAVE FUN OUT THERE!

Why don't you write the heroes like this?

Tidehunter
Enigma
Sand King
Queen of Pain
Anti-Mage
Morphling

It makes the guide way more readable.

If you don't know how to do it, it's like this

[ [ Item Name ] ] or [ [ Hero Name ] ]

Without spaces of course. Quote my post to see the codes I use if you still aren't sure ^^.

You should obviously add Faceless Void to the list ! 'cause he only has 2 actives spells : an epic escape with an EPIC animation on Rubick, always useful, and, hum... his ultimate ?
I just played a pub game and stole Chronosphere before the fight, casted it during the fight, stole Sanity's Eclipse (not the best ult to steal on Rubick but it is ok !) and re-stole Chronosphere 16sec later... that was fun \o/

Going like "how you play!!?!?!!!??!!1111" is not attractive at all. Fix all of these problems and I'll vote.

Stop complaining about other guides when yours are useless or copied from other sites.

Also, stop making alt accounts.

lol told.
But the "!!!!???!?!?!?" thing does get kind of annoying, but you didn't do it so much that you can really ***** about it. All in all it's a great guide! Keep it up

In your Starting Items you can easily buy a Magic Stick that will quickly go into your Magic Wand. Just thought I'd suggest it as you have money left over from the Starting Items you already have up on your guide. Alternatively you can add in another stats item such as Mantle of Intelligence in place of the Magic Stick suggestion I made. I'm not sure whether having both Force Staff and Blink Dagger is suitable as you can just buy one of these then immediately start focusing on a more suitable option such as Scythe of Vyse which you have on the guide already. But yeah other than that the guide is well put together and for that you get a +1.
