Intro

Faceless Void if a very item dependent Hero. Early game Void is pretty weak ,but good farming and setting up some nice timed ganks will allow void to get the items he needs quickly. If you role radiant go bottom and if Dire go top. ALWAYS. This will allow you to farm the jungle to get some extra farm while your lane is pushed too far. Void is Great with ranged support such as Jakiro or other Hero's that can stun the enemy.

Laning with Faceless / Laning Partners

GOOD SUPPORT LANING PARTNERS FOR FACELESS VOID.

- FACELESS NEEDS A RANGED HERO WHO CAN HARASS, SAVE HIM IF HE GETS IN TROUBLE OR GANKED, AND HELP FACELSS INSIDE AN EARLY CHRONOSPHERE.

Question- SO WHO ARE THESE HERO'S?

Answer- JAKIRO, WITCH DOCTOR, CRYSTAL MAIDEN, LICH, SHADOW SHAMAN, AND NOW SKYWRATH MAGE FOR A DEVASTATING 2 ULTIMATE GUARANTEED KILL.

OF COURSE THERE IS OTHER COMBOS THAT WORK ASWELL. BUT THESE HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE.

JUST MAKE SURE WHEN PLAYING FACELESS YOU HAVE A SUPPORT THAT CAN HELP PROTECT YOU!!!

******LATE GAME MAGNUS IS YOUR BEST FRIEND*****

WITH EMPOWER FACELESS CAN DO A TON OF MORE DAMAGE IN THE CHRONO AND BE STRONGER EARLY GAME

Battlefury Build

STARTING ITEMS

Quelling Blade, plus 2 Tangos, Healing Salve and an Iron Branch will allow you to get the most last hits possible. The Quelling Blade is a must, making Void do 33% more damage on creeps and an Iron Branch is nice as well for just a little more stats. The Tangos and Salve make it so you won't need to return to base.

EARLY GAME

Getting the Poor Man's shield is obviously good if you are getting harassed and the +6 agility helps so much early game.

After, get the much needed Ring of Health. This item is excellent Early game if Void is being harassed and later when he starts jungling.

I only recommend getting the magic wand if you are going against someone who is spamming their abilities such as Bristleback, Zeus or Batrider. The Magic Wand can come in handy if Void needs mana or needs some health to live. (Magic Wand is Optional)(Only Reccomend if you feel your self out of mana constantly)

CORE

These will be the most useful items Faceless Void will acquire for the game. As soon as you get your Battlefury you can start Jungling! Then Jungle some more.

A BKB is used to be able to safely attack the enemy team inside your chrono.

Butterfly stacks with your 25% evasion which grants even more survivability.

LATE GAME

These Items will make Void incredibly strong. Mjollnir is great for speeding up Void's attacks and the the lightningt aoe damage is great for inside the chrono. After you get this buy the Daedalus. Now even more damage plus crits, you should be owning. If you still have more money get a lifesteal item if you havent already or pick up something to give you more survivabilty like assault cuirass.

Why I make Mask of Madness a Core Item

MoM's 100 additonal attack speed is insane!! The side-effect is that it comes at a price of receiving 30% more damage. But at the time you are getting this item, you'll have the battlefury to go along with it and should easily be able to kill people inside your chronosphere. So the additional 30% damage you'll receive is negligible if you use your chrono correctly with your team backing you up. And for just 2000 gold that +100 speed is just amazing.

Monkey King Bar is a good item. Makes you do more damage, 15 attack speeds and a chance of a mini bash. I included it in the situational items since you will need this if you are facing agility carrys. If you can't hit them, you can't kill them. If that's the case, get the Monkey King Bar. I recommend getting this item right after the Mask of Madness if you do need it.

Midas Build

Try to obtain Midas by 9 minutes.

If you do not obtain Midas by 12 minutes swap to build (1)

As soon you aquire malestrom start jungling.

Then get your Mask of Madness. (At this point you can Roshan and Ancient farm.)

If you are able to last hit well and get a couple of kills early this build will allow you do much more damage mid game then normal and allow you to get Mjollnir and Daedalus much quicker.

Mid Game Presence Build

Faceless is an amazing hard carry. Late game he can pratically 1 v 5 the enemy team if he captures them all in his chronosphere. The big problem he has though is getting to late game. As most know he is complete sh*t ealry game and requires his teammates to "carry" him for a large majority of the game until he acquires his items. This guide makes his normal late game items come quicker.

I recommend you use this build in a trilane for best results, but usually that will never happen in a pub game. So if that's the case you will just need very good ranged support with you.

This Build focuses on being able to jungle around the 14 min mark. Much sooner then most battlefury or Midas guides.

At the 14 min mark you want to have acquired the poor man shield, power treads, and maelstrom. Now you can head into the jungle.

After you obtain the MoM you can do the ancients.

After you obtain the crystalys faceless can solo Roshan.

Upgrade to a Mjollnir and now you have the option of finishing your Daedalus or getting a situational item.

If they have a ranged support/carry I recommend picking up the BKB, so you stay safe in your chronosphere without being disrupted.

If they have an agility hero with a butterfly get the MKB.

And if you need to dodge alot of auto attack damage pick up a Butterfly of your own.

Also if you feel that you need mana. Obtaining a wand, medallion, or building a battlefury will deal with those issues.

Skills

Faceless void's skill build can be made many different ways. This one allows for early ganks and killing opportunities by maxing Time Lock as soon as possible. If you are being badly harassed getting up Backtrack is perfectly fine. And Always level up Chronosphere when you can.

Pros/Cons

PROS-

- Power House Late Game
- Huge Impact on Team Fights
- 25% stun
- Great Auto Attack

CONS-

- Very Weak Early Game
- Requires Massive Amounts of Farming
- Can make your team lose a team fight will ultimate if placed incorrectly

Fighting with Faceless Void

Preferablly.

If you do not need to time walk in to chrono, SAVE IT!! If you somehow need an escape mechanism after your chrono, Time Walk is your Best Friend.

1v1

Time Walk In. Take out 25% to 50% of the players Health. Chronosphere,(MoM), Win.

2v1 Ganking (Preferably with a Ranged Hero)

Time Walk in. (MoM) Auto Attack until they die or if they start getting away, Chrono, Win.

Team Fights

Wait until all enemy hero's are grouped up. Time Walk in. Trap all in Chronosphere.(MoM) Attack weakest targets.

Wiki Tips

Mask of Madness will allow Faceless Void to better utilize Chronosphere throughout game, as does almost any item that gives attack speed or damage.

When using Chronosphere it's important that you prioritize the targets to deal maximum damage. Important targets include carries and spellcasters.

If you want to play your lane aggressively rank up Time Lock first, conversely if you need to play defensively rank up Backtrack after getting at least one rank of Time Walk as it is still your primary escape mechanism, while also having some offensive potential.
Chronosphere will pause friendly units (exception : units under control of Faceless Void) and heroes as well as foes. Try to position it so enemies are within the sphere and allies are outside and can reach enemies inside without having to enter Chronosphere itself.

Additional Background Info

Darkterror is a master of time and space, often bending it to his will. He can Time Walk to jump forward small distances, causing the movement of enemies around his destination point to be slowed. He is also able to passively revert quickly to a past moment to avoid damage, and lock time on a target to bash them without missing a beat. Faceless Void can rip open a Chronosphere in space time to stop all units inside it, except for himself, to wreak havoc as he pleases. While he is initially weak, you should never underestimate a hero with great damage potential that also has the ability to stop time. Never.

They say he was once human, but his background is shrouded in darkness, even to himself. What we know is that he was thrown into the Void between worlds and has emerged with the power of manipulating time. He can freeze his enemies in time and avoid hits by traveling a split-second back in time, right before receiving the blow. He can briefly rip apart the fabric of space-time to freeze both allies and opponents around him, yet remain free himself to act. It is rumored that he can instantly strike any man in a legion of soldiers, but nobody sees him move...
