DotA2 Hero: Phantom Assassin

Phantom Assassin || Snowball 6.87

Introduction

Welcome to my guide to Snowballing PA! Phantom Assassin is one of my best hero and fun to play because of the crits. PA has the ability to Carry the game but needs farm.

This Guide is for Players that knows Dota enough.

Lore

Through a process of divination, children are selected for upbringing by the Sisters of the Veil, an order that considers assassination a sacred part of the natural order. The Veiled Sisters identify targets through meditation and oracular utterances. They accept no contracts, and never seem to pursue targets for political or mercenary reasons. Their killings bear no relation to any recognizable agenda, and can seem to be completely random: A figure of great power is no more likely to be eliminated than a peasant or a well digger. Whatever pattern the killings may contain, it is known only to them. They treat their victims as sacrifices, and death at their hand is considered an honor. Raised with no identity except that of their order, any Phantom Assassin can take the place of any other; their number is not known. Perhaps there are many, perhaps there are few. Nothing is known of what lies under the Phantom Veil. Except that this one, from time to time, when none are near enough to hear, is known to stir her veils with the forbidden whisper of her own name: Mortred.

Skills

Throws a dagger slowing the enemy unit's movement speed, dealing 60+25/40/55/70% of Phantom Assassin's attack damage as physical damage and applying attack effects from items and abilities as it were a regular attack.

Range: 1200
Duration: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Damage: 60 + 25% / 40% / 55% / 70% of your attack damage
Critical Chance: 15%
Movement Slow: 50%
Mana Cost: 30 / 25 / 20 / 15 Cooldown Time: 6

Notes:
  • The Projectile can be disjoint.
  • Shares the same crit chance and multiplier as Coup de Grace.

Teleports to a unit, friendly or enemy, and grants bonus attack speed while attacking if it's an enemy unit.

Range: 1000
Duration: 4
Maximum Number of Attacks: 4
Bonus Attack Speed: 130
Mana Cost: 50 Cooldown Time: 14 / 11 / 8 / 5

Notes:
  • The attack speed bonus is lost if Phantom Assassin changes target
  • Phantom strike orders to auto-attack the targeted enemy.

The Phantom Assassin becomes hard to see by blurring her body and disappearing from the enemy minimap when near enemy heroes. Some enemy attacks miss.

Bonus Evasion: 20% / 30% / 40% / 50%
Radius: 1600

Notes:
  • Evasion is disabled by Doom, visual effect and minimap hiding behave normally.

Phantom Assassin refines her combat abilities, gaining a chance of delivering a devastating critical strike to enemy units.

Critical Chance: 15%
Critical Damage: 230% / 340% / 450%

Note:

Item Justification

Starting Items

- Tango, I don't need to explain this to you.

- Poor Man's Shield, +6 Damage and +6 attack speed this will make your last hit easy enough and damage block makes you survive in lane.

Early Game

- Phase Boots, Best boots of choice for PA. for chasing, damage, and escaping.

- Ring of Aquila, This item is you main mana regen since spamming your skills can be nice.

- Quelling Blade, Buy this first in the laning phase for last hitting creeps

Core Items

- Silver Edge, I choosed Silver Edge than Shadow Edge is because it has more duration and break damage so that you can choose you target properly and have a succesful gank.

- Desolator, Best snowball item for Phantom Assassin since it gives you armor reduction and +50 damage

- Vanguard, Your gonna like the damage block. Upgrade this to Abyssal Blade later.

Late Game

- Boots of Travel, Buy this if your inventory is full and you need to defend base and push towers without carrying a TP in your inventory.

- Abyssal Blade, Upgraded Vanguard you really need bash as a Carry.

- Moon Shard, This item is awesome, make this as your Late Core Item.

Situationals

- Assault Cuirass, If you feel like you need tankyness.

- Black King Bar, If your being killed by magic.

- Butterfly, Best late game item for PA, +60 damage, +60 attack speed, and +35% Evasion.

- Diffusal Blade, Use this as your purge to remove debuff from Silver Edge or Dust of Appearance, plus the mana burn hurts and agility gain is awesome .

- Monkey King Bar, If there is evasion heroes like you. +66 damage and true-strike can be powerful at late-game.

- Sange and Yasha, You can buy this Mid-Game if you need stats and movement speed.

- Vladmir's Offering, Since we are building desolator, this item is your lifesteal of choice.

Gameplay

Early Game

Just lasthit creeps and takeover the lane but make sure you don't die even 1 death, don't enter fight that you dont think you can win.

Mid-Game

If you already have Silver Edge or Shadow Blade and Desolator start ganking and snowballing as much as you can but make sure you don'r ran out of mana so you can escape with Silver Edge if you failed to gank that target.

Late-Game

All you need in Late-Game is to win Teamfights and Push Towers but if you need to end the game buy Divine Rapier so end it already.
