Indroduction

Mirana, the Princess of the Moon is an agility hero. She pretty much fits into any role whether be it a solo,, offlaner,, ganker or a support,, although she needs a fairly decent amount of farm to be effective. She is mostly a ganker during early game and then becomes a semi-carry/carry during late game.

Starstorm (First Ability)

Starstorm Mirana's first ability has a large AOE nuke at level four of 300 damage to all surrounding enemys within 625 units. These skill is really useful for farming large creep waves and pushing lanes since its cooldown is relatively short.

Use Starstorm to farm and harass whenever possible.Starstorm also will target a random enemy within the 625 unit area, and hit them again for half the original damage.Take note that Starstorm 2nd star will only appear if the enemy is within 175 unit from Mirana. In other words, make sure you are standing right next to the injured creep/hero before you activate Starstorm. This will gurantee the 2nd Starstorm falling and maximizing the damage output for Mirana.
But remember Starstorm does not hit invisible units / units in the fog of war / magic immune units. However it cannot be blocked by Linken's Sphere.
As a carry farming is the main priority to secure late game and therefore starstorm should be maxed by level 7 + Maelstrom farming and pushing becomes much easier.

Sacred Arrow (Second Ability)

Sacred Arrow This is one the best ability although it takes a bit of aiming and sense of timing but if one is able to land the arrow perfectly it can stun an opponent for up to 5 seconds and inflict 360 damage. The stun duration is determined by the distance between where Mirana fired the arrow and where the arrow hits its target.
Sacred Arrow hits invisible units, ignores Linken Sphere. However it Simply disappears with no effect if a magic immune unit is hit.Arrow has flying vision of ~500 range day/night. Good to scout / find people hiding in trees/ block neutral spawn.
To land the arrow perfectly try to combine other stuns and disables with your own arrow like bane's Nightmare shadow demon Disruption Naga Siren Ensnare etc.
If u are unseen try to shoot arrows through the trees so that enemies dont get the chance to dodge it

Leap (Third Ability)

Leap Jump forward more like Force Staff Used mostly for Escaping, or Chasing. It can also be used to dodge some projectiles eg Heat Seeking Missile Magic Missile Storm Hammer Spirit Lance .This ability is executed instantly and therefore, you should first right-click on the ground to make Mirana look into a specific direction before activating it. It is also a great way to get close to your enemies so you can hit them with Starstorm.
If you get ganked and chances of running are slim, consider leaping in trees and TPing out, definitely beats dying.

Moonlight Shadow (Fourth Ability/ Ultimate)

Moonlight Shadow Tt's one of the best initiation and escape spells in DOTA. After a relatively long fade time, it makes ALL allied heroes invisible no matter where they are on the map, giving the opportunity to get back from ganks without any trouble or on the contrary to attack from the penumbra of the night.
Moonlight Shadow allows you to give the frustration-inducing invis-gank ability of a Shadow Blade to every ally every other minute.Continue to use Moonlight Shadow and force the opponent to use gold for Sentry Ward or Gem of True Sight. This will put extra strain on their resources which directly means better for your team.

Counter enemies

Mirana is squishy and relies highly on mobility, heroes who can either silence or shut down movement make her natural enemies.

Bloodseeker
With its Bloodrage and Rupture it basically triggers Mirana best escape mechanism Leap and Moonlight Shadow which is a great disadvantage for Mirana

Puck is another strong counter for Mirana

Riki Permanent Invisibility slims the flexibility of Mirana ,, Smoke Screen Blink Strike makes it pretty difficult for Mirana to escape once it gets caught up.
zues Thundergod's Wrath which provides true sight ultimately nulls the effectiveness of Moonlight Shadow in team fights.

Best ally

Hero's that combo/helps you to land your Sacred Arrow perfectly.
Bane is basically the best ally combo for Mirana as Nightmare gives enough time to position and hit the arrow.
Shadow Demon though need good sense of timing still a good ally with his ability Disruption
Naga Siren Ensnare also provides efficient time for a perfect arrow landing.

Item build

Ring of Aquila I usually start off my basic item build with Ring of Aquila ,, u can also get a Bottle but i prefer to stick with Ring of Aquila and rush off for Maelstrom.
Phase Boots is the nxt basic build which gives better ms ,nice 24 damage, and phase skill for charging the enemy or to escape. As said before Mirana relies highly on mobility and the active bonus speed from phase do gives +point at many stages and the +24 bonus damage do boost your weak damage for last hits etc.

Maelstrom This is my favorite build for Mirana. It grants 25% chance on attack to release a Chain Lightning that hits 4 targets, dealing 120 damage. It boosts your farming speed without having to spam Starstorm because you will probably want to save mana for teamfights or ganks.
Yasha Now yasha should be your next build becasue you will be building into Manta Style at somepoint and with Maelstrom it should be pretty easy to get one . Yasha gives about +16 agility +15 attack speed +10% movement speed and the bonus attack speed works pretty well with Maelstrom providing more chances for Chain Lightning to be activated.
Crystalys gives +35 bonus damage and grants 20% chance to deal 1.75x normal damage on a attack. Instate of completing Manta Style i prefer to go for Crystalys first. With Yasha now u got a decent attack speed and getting a Crystalys allows you to regularly hit some big crits.
Manta Style By the time you get all the above items it should be around mid game and with decently farmed opponents you will be needing items providing extremely strong set of bonuses,So Manta Style definitely fits into it with Yasha already at hand. It grants the ability to create 2 illusions of yourself giving the opponent a hard time,, you can also use it to dodge some projectiles.

Now you can go on to complete your other luxury items like Mjollnir, Daedalus or even get a Desolator if opponents got some real tanky heros , if the game goes on and you got more gold to spare u can also add Monkey King Bar, Butterfly or ***ualt cuirass which every fits your purpose.

However If your opponent have a lot of single target spells then u can also opt for Linken's Sphere to survive in the game,, If your enemy has strong spell spammers then you will definitely want a Black King Bar which provides magic immunity and more chances to survive team fights however some skills can go through Black King Bar like enigma's Black Hole ,, bane's Fiend's Grip etc. Also if your opponent got hitters and you are i assume mostly gona be the target get a Ghost Scepter so as to drag their attention away from you in teamfights while u escape or set a good position for your next attack.

Note

Hey guyz these is my first guide so any kind of crits is mostly welcome and will truly appreciate suggestions and try to improve my guide. THANKS FRIENDS
