Luna - The Lunatic goes mid

Introduction

Hello to everyone!

Before i write ANYTHING else. This is a highly risky tactic to play with a hero like Luna.
Not only will your team mates think you crazy for wanting to go mid, but also once they see that you've got Hand of Midas before anything else, there is a high probability that they will laugh at you.

With that said, if you are still reading this guide, lets continue to the juicy part.

Few games of the build i am showing here. For those interested, you can find more on your own.

Items

Now i can imagine as you are reading this, that you think this is some kind of troll and perhaps even laughing so loud that you are waking up neighbours, but give me time to try and explain myself.

Hand of Midas is highly situational item in most cases and on most heroes, but in this build, it is only core item. Why ? Cause being solo mid, and with passive bonuses to damage, you should more or less be able to out last hit and out deny 90% of current hero pool - results may wary with skill.

With that said, you should be able to pull Midas till mark 10 - earliest i got it was 6th minute. So till minute 25 item repaid itself - not many other items can say that. All cash you get afterwards is extra, and it gives attack speed, so it is not just a gold generator.

After Midas i usually go straight for Dominator, which gives me more survivability and damage, and is crucial for getting Satanic later if you do chose to go that way.

All other items under situational are well ... situational and down to personal preference.
Only piece of advice i can give you, is that if you pulled Hand of Midas till 10 minute mark - DO NOT SETTLE for any item that is not top tier, or leading into top tier item. Only exception is Black King Bar.

Pros / Cons

PROS:
-Surpassing anyone ingame in farm. Depending on games i found that i had more net worth than three highest by net worth on enemy team
-Letting you farm up big items faster.

CONS:
-At start very squishy and susceptible to ganks
-Making juicy target for above mentioned ganks, cause if opponent got three grams of brain he will notice you not spending gold and knowing you are going for something big.
-Easily killed when focused if wrong items are chosen - but that stands true for all heroes.

Early Game

As you saw in build - you go with mostly consumables and four branches to the lane.
That is quite simply so you could survive for long enough to farm up your first big item that is Hand of Midas. No mana consumables are needed, you are not there to kill, but farm and farming comes fairly easily with Lunar Blessing. Only hero that ever gave me trouble while on mid was Outworld Destroyer, but in the end, he got demolished.

Rest of the game

What i found works pretty good for me in games is after Midas and Dominator, rushing straight for Boots of Travel, followed by Radiance.

This does leave you at about 1000 HP at around level 10, but who cares? Gold wins games, and with moon glaives and Hand of Midas, coupled with few TP's, you can push out lanes fairly quickly, leading to items that will make you generate gold even faster.

Alternatively, if you find yourself without time to farm, going straight into Satanic is a very viable option. Always carry TP's! I can't stress this enough. Not only can they lead you to nom nom farm you want, but you can also be at your tower in time for a fight. Again, i am mentioning only top tier items, cause as i mentioned before, glaives coupled with Midas means you farm like capitalism possessed and gold is the name of the game.

Sorry if you find this offensive, but are you trolling ?

If not, simple answer is yes - no boots. More complex answer: Cause you do not need them, you are there to farm, farm and farm some more, if you do find yourself in position to chase, simply turn in other direction and go back to farming, till later on.

Midas is core for a simple fact that it gives you 2,5x XP and static 190 gold. Meaning you will be ahead of everyone in both experience and gold, as long as you take part in team fights - which you should. Carry a TP! Next to that, simple math, Midas costing 1900, means it pays for itself after roughly 15 minutes since you picked it up - no other item in the game allows you that. And it gives you more exp and attack speed to boot.

Well, to be honest with you, i do know that there is some kind of ranking system, but i got no idea in which "class" i play, nor the way to find it out.

Edit: Just checked out via watch>recent games>filter. I play in normal and high level games. No very high for me tho :(

this is such an asian dota build ( I used to play in philippines, so I know)
Mid heroes that are put there to farm, don't control runes, don't gank - and ultimately, don't help the team.

ironically, if you want to farm (solo) then get your solo safe lane (bot radient) top dire.. and have 2 mid heroes.. much more farm, less chance of gank - and the chances are you against a suicide laner and can out farm them in fear of getting ganked..

but meh, this is a pub build - if you can pull it off without your team getting ganked to death while you farm for 25 minutes.. good for you..

If you took time to read through Introduction at least, you would of saw that i said it myself - this build is high risk build.

Also, there is no reason that you should just farm for 25 minutes without ganking. If your team can hold up and not die a lot, than yes, you should farm. If not, no, you should go gank and push a lane you just ganked, making enemy team either waste gold and time on TP's or take the tower down. It does not matter to you, you still get gold, and can easily grab either a jungle creep or lane creep with Midas.

It is an asian build, all through i am not asian myself.

Yes I read it - that's why I was expressing my thoughts on the lane - and the whole idea of farming a lot leaving it 4v5 for most of the game.. like you said it is very risky, and you will need to hope your team mates are not idiots.. haha :D
