I'm not getting Orchid- Clinkz guide

Buenos Dias

Welcome to my Clinkz guide.

I only have about 350 games in DOTA 2, but I played DOTA Allstars for about 7 years. Clinkz hasn't changed at all really since that time. I've played clinkz about 100 times.

The new update last week made it so that searing arrows isn't a unique attack modifier anymore, so I have been experimenting with a deso build a little bit, but this guide will focus on my traditional Clinkz build.

Early Game

Once you get your boots and tango go check the rune like a good little boy. Remember, clinkz is extremely squishy throughout the entire game, and he's especially squishy at lvl 1, so you might have to forfeit the rune if your teammates don't help you here.

Clinkz with searing arrows can do some serious harrassment. You can either focus on getting last hits/denying, or focus on harrassing the enemy hero, it depends on the situation and how imposing the other team is. Clinkz is one of the best heroes for early game harassment, besides maybe skywrath with his stupid spell that chases you.

After you check the rune, the first thing you're going to want to say in teamchat is "I'm not getting orchid so stfu about it." Because your teammates will be like "Clinkz you better get orchid."

So farm in your lane until lvl 5, then it's time to start the ganking.

Mid Game

Clinkz can go top bot or mid, it doesn't really matter. Mid is best for ganking at lvl 5, but bad for getting that early kill at lvl 3 or 4. Once you're lvl 5, dissapear through the trees when your opponent isn't looking and get in position to gank another lane. Call it that you're ganking while you do this.

Skeleton Walk behind your opponenet and unleash strafe's searing arrows from behind your opponent while your enemy charges from the front. Wait for your teammate to initiate. Clinkz isn't very good at initiating because he has low health.

Clinkz is one of the strongest characters in the game at lvl 5, and you should really take advantage of this to get some gank kills.

Late Game

You should assume your enemy has warded the lanes. Don't go skeleton walking around the enemy team for fun. That'll just get you killed. You can however scope out their jungle. Make a death pact with the strong creeps in the enemy jungle, and leave behind the weak creeps, so that if the enemy team does eventually creep their jungle, all they'll find is weak creeps.

When you're skeleton walking around with a big ol' death pact on, you can pretty much solo any hero. Try to find lone heroes to kill immediately after you death pact, but don't go for 2v1s.

When you're doing teamfights you don't want to be near the front lines. You want to be invisible or far back from the front lines during the first 4-7 seconds of the team fight ruckus, because you're so squishy and the enemy will target you and kill you. Once you appear, you can unload your strafed searing arrows on the enemy and watch them melt away like hoes.

Clinkz also does pretty decent damage against towers in the late game, so you're expected to help the push late game.

Logic and Theory

This clinkz guide does not get an orchid. Can you believe it!? The reason for this is because this clinkz is focused on killing 3 or 4 heroes at once, not the one hero that an orchid will help you get. This clinkz has really high agility, which makes him a powerhouse. He's also pretty beefy with the high armor from all the agi, and the evasion from the butterfly. He's still not a tank. My point is that he's a little bit more beefy than the other clinkz guides you'll find.

This clinkz is just about pure agi gain. Agi boosts your attack, attack speed, and armor. This is perfect for the play it safe run'n gun tactics that you'll be using in team fights and to get the 1v1 kills.

The only downside to this clinkz is that you can't kill characters like abaddon or terrorblade because you didn't get an orchid and they can ult to escape from you in a 1v1 situation. But that's the sacrifice you're going to make to get all this agi.

I've gone like 22-0 and still have had had teammates complain about me not getting an orchid. So get used to it, and laugh it off.

Finally, one useful tactic to using clinkz effectively to get those 1v1 kills in your lane is to click as if to retreat from the lane, and let your opponent see you run away, and as soon as you're out of his field of vision, skeleton walk, and turn around, and run up behind him and unleash strafe/searing arrows.

Pros and Cons

PROS
*Can whipe out an entire enemy team during a team fight if you time your appearance right.
*Is pretty much stronger than most heroes until lvl 19+ when they start gettting vangaurds and hearts because of you.

CONS
*There are some heroes who can escape from you with their spells because you didn't get an orchid.
*Pretty squishy, especially in team fights.
*Blademail is your enemy, and can ruin a strafe.

Haters gonna hate

So let the hating begin. I'm ready for all of you to insult me for not getting an orchid. My 4 teammates do, so I expect the thousand of you to. But I made this guide because this clinkz is very strong and i am the winning factor in many many games I play using this clinkz. This is also a unique guide to the boring old orchid clinkz, so I thought it would be different to read.
