I DUN WANNA SUPPORT! I WANNA PWN!

Introduction

First off all Abaddon is a ****py support. HE IS NOT A HARD SUPPORT. So why go carry Abaddon? You support slightly weaker than a support build. You get more DPS and get to help your team.

This is also my first guide, so please enjoy.

Pros Great tower/fountain diver Has a good carry potential Can solo most heroes with a good build Can still support Scales well with items Good stat gain

Cons First and Second skills are less effective later on the game No reliable escape mechanism Not the best support nor the best carry

If you go full support, later in the game you are going to be quite weak and wont be able to do too much for your team.

Cost: 23950 gold This is my carry build for Abaddon I will explain further in the guide why this works.

POWER THREADS FIRST.
Power Threads
Gives you speed, +30 AS and 8 Strength and 8 Damage.

WHY NOT PHASE BOOTS?
You dont really need phase and 30 AS + 8 Strength is better than 24 Attack Damage.

MASK OF MADNESS FOR THE SECOND ITEM.

Gives you even more speed for chasing or fleeing. Also 100+ AS. Abaddon is also a very tank hero with just his Strength. Not even counting his ult.

DONT MAKE A HEART OF TARRASQUE FIRST! BUILD THIS INSTEAD:

Gives you even more speed, AS, agility (AS and Armor), strength and the Greater Maim that reduces movement speed and attack speed by 30%

Eye of Skadi

Seeing a pattern? You want to have as much attack speed + movement speed and slowing your enemy's attack speed + movement speed as much as possible. Curse of Avernus is not a Special Attack Modifier as with the Sange and Yasha. The Eye of Skadi is a Special Attack Modifier so getting a Desolator is not really gonna be efficient.

Heart of Tarasque

It will be easy to get this item if you have the Threads, Mask of Madness, Sange and Yasha and Eye of Skadi.

Assault Cuirass

Reduces armor of the enemy, increase your AS by 30 and increase your armor too.


You can exchange the Assault Cuirass for:

I'll rather be more tough and can reduce your armor than slightly more AS


The build allows you for maximum MS. (522) Insane attack speed. (.3 second attack speed at high levels) Tankiness. (Almost 5000 health at lvl 25 and a large amount of armor.) And reduce your enemy's attack speed and movement speed. (With level 4 Curse of Avernus you are going to do -70 MS, -50 AS, and -30% MS/AS.)

Skills

His First Skill: Death Coil (Q)
Death Coil
Death Coil is really for killing people who are trying to flee with very little amount of health and saving your allies. You can kite people with death coil with your movement speed and its large casting range.

Second Skill: Aphotic Shield (W)

This is very useful for tower diving, jungling, tanking creeps and taking a hit. It loses value while the game progresses but it can still remove stuns, make you take a hit of 200 damage, nullify damage from a spell, dispels debuffs.

When starting a fight use it. It will allow you to absorb a spell or two and allow you to deal 200 damage and absorb 200 damage.

Third Skill: Curse of Avernus

This is why this build works and gives Abaddon a carry potential. A Eye of Skadi like passive that gives movement speed and attack speed for EVERYONE who attacks the target Abaddon is hitting.

Fourth Skill: Borrowed Time

Any damage done will be turned to health. It also dispels any debuffs present. Great for fountain and tower diving. If the enemies are ******, they will attack you while on your ult allowing you to mow down one more of them while the ult is on cooldown and give you almost max health to rape the remainder.

The most common thing that happens to you when you are using your ult is that you will get stunned all the time. This wont allow you to kill some people on your ult but will still heal you and have their disables on cooldown.

People also ignore you completely. If you already maxed this build go ahead and keep slashing. If you think you cant kill them, get away as fast as you can (522 movement speed anyone?)

Summary

This basically is the Carry Build for Abaddon. My most recommended start would be this:
