Change Log

6.83 Changelog for Crystal Maiden

•CM saw some really nice buffs this patch.

•Crystal Nova [Q] - Saw some Minor buffs, an increase in attack speed slow from 20% to 30%

•FrostBite [W] - Now scales on Cooldown from 10 to 10/9/8/7

•Freezing Field [R] - Saw numerous buffs to radius, duration and damage radius of explosions

Starting Items

•To start off you will want to buy Courier, Observer Wards, 1 Set of Tangos, and 3-4 Clarities, if you get 3 Clarities buy 1 GG branch.

•Give your mid 2x Shared Tangos if they want them. If not then you have a little extra regen. Yay!

•Give one ward to your offlane right away so they can get down to lane and place it wherever they want.

You will want to leave the base ASAP, so that you can cover your jungle being warded by the enemy offlane, place your own ward and to try and snatch that sweet, sweet bounty rune. (This is for supports, cores trying to get this, shame on you! Go block your creep wave you greedy bastards). The bounty rune helps a jungle start CM so much because it means you only need to get 1 big creep and you are level 2 before the 1 min mark.

Skill Build

Please keep in mind that skill builds are situational and you will need to adapt them to your given situations!

However when given the chance I like to max Frostbite by 7, the CoolDown reduction is incredibly strong and is strong against mobile blink heroes, such as AntiMage and Queen of Pain, they cannot blink out of your bite.

Gameplay

The gameplay is fairly simple, this will revolve around the Radiant jungle. ]

Our aims are:

To reach level 4 by 4 mins into the game so that we can be active around the map (first night starts at 4 mins)

Have brown boots, a flying courier, a TP scroll and a smoke.

The reason that having level 4 is really strong, is that it gives you your second level of Frostbite for your ganks.

CM is really strong in Radiant jungle because she can farm both hard camps with relative ease. After getting the bounty rune, you will want to stack the first radiant hard camp shown below.

You will want to aggro the camp and run to the west down towards the second Hard camp.

As you are running away you will want to freeze the big creep and begin auto attacking. Pop one your clarities here.

You will then want to eat the tree shown above and Frostbite the biggest creep from the high ground.

From this point, you will then want to run back to the Stacked hard camp and repeat. Running from Hard camp to hard camp. Make sure that you stack as much as possible on both camps.

If done correctly you should have level 4 fairly easily. Boots and a flying courier. Once 4 mins comes around, you will want to run back to base. By your smoke and a TP or 2 (and any items towards your Tranquils) and head for a gank somewhere.

I like ganking mid as it is a fairly easy lane to gank.

Be sure to smoke at around your T2 tower so as to not get caught in any ward vision they may or may not have on your ancients.

After your first gank make sure that you always have a TP on you at all times so that you can react to dives occurring on other lanes.

If you see no opportunity to gank then you will want to head back into the jungle and stack the jungle camps for your carry. The hard camp should have 2-3 stacks at least in it (without any big creeps) so we can leave that as it is and stack the small and medium camp at the same time.

Auto attack the medium camp at XX:52 and then right away cast your Crystal Nova over the tree line and run to the east to stack both camps.

After this point you will want to press the advantage that you have built, continue to make ganks happen across the map and create as much space for your carries to farm as possible. Also remember to keep vision on the map and build items that are effective for your team.

Good Luck!
