Introduction

----WORK IN PROGRESS---

Hey, if you're reading this it's because you may need some tips on playing bloodseeker or something like that, and you don't know his true power. This is my first guide and probably wont be as detailed as others,

I plan to go add a detailed laning guide and item build but that will come later.

Bloodseekers Lore

Strygwyr the Bloodseeker is a ritually sanctioned hunter, Hound of the Flayed Twins, sent down from the mist-shrouded peaks of Xhacatocatl in search of blood. The Flayed Ones require oceanic amounts of blood to keep them sated and placated, and would soon drain their mountain empire of its populace if the priests of the high plateaus did not appease them. Strygwyr therefore goes out in search of carnage. The vital energy of any blood he lets, flows immediately to the Twins through the sacred markings on his weapons and armor. Over the years, he has come to embody the energy of a vicious hound; in battle he is savage as a jackal. Beneath the Mask of the Bloodseeker, in the rush of bloody quenching, it is said that you can sometime see the features of the Flayers taking direct possession of their Hound.

Pros and Cons

Pros
+ Great early sustain
+ Pubowner!
+ easy farmer
+ good solo mid even if melee
+ dangerous ganker
+ capable of handling 1v1 very well, even 1v2
+ you can survive well
+ great tower diver
+ get more out of denying creeps than any other hero

Cons
- ****py harass
- Spells require precise timing!
- hp is low
- vulnerable to disables
- a bit more difficult to integrate in teamfights

Skills and skill usage

Bloodrage
Ability Affects Damage
Target Unit Units Magical
Drives a unit into a bloodthirsty rage, during which it has higher attack damage, but cannot cast spells and takes damage every second.
Range: 600
Duration: 6/7/8/9
Increased damage: 20%/40%/60%/80%
Damage Per Second: 20
Cooldown 12/10/8/6 Mana 80
Okay, in the early levels you want to keep this level one because the damage per second stays the same.During low levels use this to harass or keep a caster from getting some important spells on you, when you level this more start casting it on yourself for the 80% increase in damage but only after you use your ult.

Blood Bath
Ability Affects
Passive Self
Bloodseeker revels in combat, gaining health with every unit he kills. The health gained is a percentage of the killed unit's maximum HP.
Regeneration from
Hero's maximum HP: 10%/20%/30%/40%
Regeneration from
creep's maximum HP: 10%/15%/20%/25%
IMPORTANT
This works on denies!!

This skill is just amazing, its going to keep save your *** and keep you alive the whole game. You want to get this skill right away and focus on last hitting alot to sustain your health in early levels.

Thirst
Ability Affects
Passive Self
Enables Bloodseeker to sense enemy Heroes with health below 40%, giving him vision of that unit and increased movement speed. Enemy heroes below 20% are fully revealed.
Radius: 1500/3000/4500/6000
Duration: Until no nearby valid target exists
Bonus movement speed: 11%/22%/33%/44%

With this skill you always want to keep your eye on the mini map and spot the low health victims around the map.

RUPTURE!!
Ability Affects Damage
Target Unit Enemies Pure
Causes an enemy unit's skin to rupture, dealing massive damage. The affected unit takes damage based on how far it moves during the duration.
Range: 1000
Duration: 7/8/9
Initial damage: 150/250/350
Distance moved damage: 20%/40%/60%
Cooldown 70/60/50 Mana 150/200/250

Blocked by Magic Immunity. May target an enemy Hero, but does not inflict damage until magic immunity duration ends.

Now this is where alot of your damage is going to be coming from, with a force staff at your disposal you will be dropping heroes in no time. When getting into a teamfight you want to use this on a squishy hero and force staff him and you will successfully delete that hero from existence.

-Drop the Battlefury and rush for Black King Bar so you can move and DPS well on teamfights, your mana problems can be fixed by having RoB and also it's quite good that you would have Medallion of Courage early on as to make opponents softer when you whack them.

I would recommend dropping the Sange and Yasha and get a Vladmir's Offering Instead. S&Y don't really benefit BS, the maim has a low proc rate, and doesn't really help that much, because you should be killing the enemy quickly. If for some reason they are extremely fast, then you should have ruptured them in the first place. If you feel you really need the movement speed boost, you could go for just a Yasha as it is not that expensive.

A lot of people would argue getting Vlad's on BloodSeeker, however, it can be extremely effective. It does boost damage based on a percent, so I would recommend getting it slightly later when you have some steady damage going. Also, You should probably get a farm item before Vlad's. I personally like the Mjollnir as a weapon. Because you will just be hitting a hero, and suddenly, you proc and it kills a few creeps. Well that sure does suck for the enemy, you just got around 300-400 Health Points. Also, it is a better farming item than Radiance just because it gives roughly the same farm, and it gives +80 attack speed (Damn insane!) and +24 damage, which helps with vlad's lifesteal.

I usually go Maelstrom then Vladmir's Offering then upgrade the mael to Mjollnir.

In short, drop Sange and Yasha for Vladmir's Offering and drop the Radiance for Mjollner.

I like this build a lot. +1! And I agree with FlyingWaffle on the Vlad's part. There is already a guide with Bloodseeker getting Radiance and Mjollnir though, so I don't think you should change it. Both are great builds, just suited for different playstyles.

Also, I think you should take out the Healing Salve and Tangos for a Stout Shield. Your blood bath should heal you for most of the harass taken, as long as your careful.
