Hero Bio

The sacred science of Chymistry was a Darkbrew family tradition, but no Darkbrew had ever shown the kind of creativity, ambition, and recklessness of young Razzil. However, when adulthood came calling he pushed aside the family trade to try his hand at manufacturing gold through Alchemy. In an act of audacity befitting his reputation, Razzil announced he would transmute an entire mountain into gold. Following two decades of research and spending and preparation, he failed spectacularly, quickly finding himself imprisoned for the widespread destruction his experiment wrought. Yet Razzil was never one to take a setback lightly, and sought escape to continue his research. When his new cellmate turned out to be a fierce ogre, he found just the opportunity he needed. After convincing the ogre not to eat him, Razzil set about carefully concocting a tincture for it to drink, made from the moulds and mosses growing in the prison stone work. In a weeks time, it seemed ready. When the ogre drank the potion, it flew into an unstoppable berserker rage, destroying the cell bars and exploding through walls and guards alike. They soon found themselves lost somewhere in the forest surrounding the city with a trail of wreckage in their wake and no signs of pursuit. In the tonics afterglow, the ogre seemed serene, happy, and even eager. Resolving to work together, the pair set off to collect the materials needed to attempt Razzils Alchemic transmutation once more.

Intro

I want to say this first and foremost. THIS GUIDE IS NOT FOR SERIOUS PLAY. This is meant for having fun and making everyone in the game laugh in disbelief. XD With this guide you will have ridiculous attack speed that will make stunned people cry.

Pros/Cons

Pros
-VERY fun
-If the enemy team isn't prepared it can completely obliterate them.
-5-6 hits/second is hilarious to watch.
Cons
-Risky
-Leaves you somewhat squishy in the beginning.

Items

The items are fairly self explanatory. The only reason I get Vanguard AFTER hyperstone is because I farm for most of the beginning of the game. Hyperstone will definitely help a lot when you start farming the jungle. Also worth mentioning is a Hand of Midas if it suits your fancy. As soon as the lane phase is over, I head into the jungle unless I'm badly needed. Which isn't usually the case since, IMO, Alchemist suck early game anyways. ALWAYS CARRY A TP SCROLL. This is an unofficial rule of thumb in Dota and far too often I don't see it followed. Then your team gets slaughtered and yes, it IS your fault for not being there. "I was on on the other side of the map" is not an excuse.
Also worth mentioning; be sure to get a vanguard immediately after hyperstone and NOT after Mask of Madness. You will be taking a lot more damage with it activated and an item to make you a little more tanky is very important. It doesn't have to be a Vanguard, that's just my personal choice.

Starting Items
Tangoe-I always get 2 tangoes because people tend to want to get a first blood off of Alchemist in Every game.
Quelling Blade-Quelling blade will help you get those valuable last hits that you need so much. EXTREMELY valuable because of Alchemist's low base damage.
Ring of Protection-Obvious. Alchemist is a very tempting target early game. He's slow, has low attack damage, a stun that needs to charge first, and no ulti to save him. This will keep you alive.

Mid-Game Items
Ring of Basilius- Some extra armor and mana regen for when you're farming. Always helpful.
Phase Boots-Gives you some much needed movement speed and damage (you guessed it) for when you're farming.
Hyperstone-Attack speed is everything when it comes to this build. Get it and you're almost ready. you'll be turning it into a Mjollnirs later on. With your late game attack speed, it's basically like doing continuous chain lightining damage.
TP Scroll- Always have one. ALWAYS.
Vanguard-Without this or some other HP item, you're basically walking food.

Late Game Items
Mjollnir's-This is awesome with this build. you can substitute you're own attack speed item if you want. But as I stated before, with Mask of Madness you will be procing chain lightning many many many many times.
Mask of Madness-The bread and butter of this build. Gives you that tremendous attack speed, and gives you lifesteal. As long as you're hitting something while this and you're ulti are active, you will be very difficult to kill. Trumping Pugna's Aganhim's Lifesteal is entirely possible at this point.

Luxury
Daedalus-If the game has lasted this long I always take a Daedalus. The chance to crit combined with the attack speed is way too much fun to pass up.
Heart of Tarrasque-Boosts your health, damage, and regen while in ulti to almost broken levels. if the game has gone on long enough, pick up a Heart.

Skills

Skills I stuck with a very basic, general skill build from another guide. If you want to farm your items even faster, you could always max Goblin's Greed before Acid Spray. The choice is entirely situational. Alchemist has the ability to be the fastest farmer in the game, yet this is where many Alchemist players fail. He is a very item dependant hero and NEEDS GOLD. Otherwise he is useless and not fun to play.

Combat

DO NOT USE UNSTABLE CONCOCTION IN THE MIDDLE OF A TEAM FIGHT. EVER.
The enemy will hear the noise and silence you or disable you. NOT. GOOD.
Use it for starting a fight or picking off stragglers.
What I do is
-Start fight from the fog (if possible) with Unstable Concoction.
-Lay down Acid Spray.
-Pop Ulti.
-Pop Mask of Madness.
-Smash Faces. XD
Be wary of heavy right clickers while Mask of Madness is active. either stun them or make sure they're occupied.
Also, you don't always have to wait for Unstable Concoction to be fully charged. Sometimes even a small stun can be enough.

Video!!!!

Here is a quick video of the ri-donk-ulousness going on with this build. As you can see, the enemy team seeing this will make them poo. XD

Summary

I have had lots of fun with this hero and it pains me to see him so hated. I think people just need to see how much fun he can be and everything will be hunky dory.
I will reiterate however. This guide is not to be taken seriously. It's just tons o' fun to play. Try it out with friends or in a friendly pub and comment if you had fun. XD

P.S.-Always be nice and polite to your team mates. Nothing ruins a game faster for you and everyone else than some guy being a jerk because he tower dove like a fool.

Happy Smashing!

P.S.S.-This is the first guide i have written. Any feedback is welcome.
