Hello everyone, how are you? How is DOTA 2 going? Are you enjoying yourselves? Today's topic is going to be the DOTA 2 Cosmetic Store whose latest additions we saw and read about at "the usual place". I like the general concept on which Valve is making the new cosmetic items and looks. Moreover I like how the changes are not model breaking like the cosmetic skins on Heroes of Newerth where if you didn't play the game for two months and then came back you couldn't recognize 1/3 heroes. Here are a few samples:
It feels as though Valve has been focusing on this cosmetic store for too long now and, apparently, quite extensively as well. I am indeed very fond of the cosmetic items presented though I am wondering how much all of this slows the process of porting heroes to the current BETA...
New Features Include
Battle Points
Battle Bonuses that increase the rate at which you obtain "Battle Points"
Description Tags & Name Tags
Treasure Caches
Keys(for Treasure Caches)
Hero Specific Ability Items
Custom Couriers
Gifting System
Well the thing about the cosmetic store is that the majority of the new cosmetics will be user created, than valve picks the ones they want to use and implements them into the game.
Dota 2 is a multiplayer Action RTS game. It began as a user-made modification for Warcraft 3 and has grown into one of the most played online games in the world. Dota 2 is currently open for early access and a full release is expected in 2013 for PC and Mac.
