Can anyone help? Cannot connect to server when trying to play.

I just got into the Dota 2 beta and I am so excited! I am however experiencing a problem. I have only been able to play 1 bot match because everytime I try to play I get an error message that reads: "Disconnected from Server, Connection to the Server has exceeded the number of retries. Server is probably not available". The game is up to date with the patch that just came out today (yes?) and I have verified the game cache on Steam. I am so excited that I finally got into the beta and I hope to play it soon. Thank you in advance!

I think you should post this on some special forum, our community can't help with these kind of problems at all :/.
