One of the big mechanics introduced with 7.00 was Talents which was snagged from Heroes of the Ded Gaem. Since there's like a 100+ heroes, I figured we could use a thread to discuss (complain) about this "new" aspect of the game.

Who has the most pointless talent tree?
Who benefits the most from this?
You make the case!

I think Jakiro made out like a bandit as far as talent trees are concerned. +400 attack range and +8% spell amp means he melts towers from a really safe distance, especially if he grabs a Dragon Lance. That casual -50s respawn timer at level 25 is also pretty insane considering the amount of high ground defense he brings to the table.

Good trees :

Lycan : 32 second duration ulti on a 52 second cooldown. Wolves need no armor.

Lina : 950 attack range with pike. Literally a better Sniper now. Other levels are also pretty good.

Shadow Fiend : Level 20 is +72 damage (!!). Movement speed, health and attack range are also super good.

Troll Warlord, Bloodseeker and Anti-Mage : Insane stats.

Mirana : very versatile tree. Finally gives her some decent carry potential. Level 25 helps her as a support too.

Enigma : His level 15 is great, no matter which one you choose. And having a million eidolons is fun :)

Pudge : 2 mana regen at level 10...that's insanely good. His level 25 too.

Bad trees :

Disruptor : 60 gold/min is good, everything else is a joke. IMO the worst tree.

Keeper of the Light : his level 25 is semi-decent (and even then, it doesn't scale well, which is a big problem on something that you get at the 35 min mark anyways), everything else is just underwhelming survivability stats on a hero that dies in 3 hits no matter what.

Nyx Assassin : 120 gold/min would be good but he only gets it at level 20 when it's already too late. Essentially everything else is a joke. I mean 25 agility, really? Carapace damage can have a niche in certain matchups but that's it.

Winter Wyvern : same point as Nyx for the gold. Everything else essentially only makes sense on a carry Wyvern...

Medusa : Just like every other hero she lost two Ultimate Orbs of stats with the removal of attribute bonus. Only redeeming feature here is the +500 mana, but even then I'd rather have two ultimate orbs than this tree...
Strategy guide : Anti-pubstomper guide.
Hero guides : Spectre , Windranger and Clinkz

Return aura sounds neat on paper, but is it any good in practice? Other than that, Centaur Warrunner doesn't seem to have anything too useful in his talent tree.

100+ attack range on Huskar should have been available in lvl 10 or 15 when you need to stay away from high ranged heroes with a lot of dps or heroes with strong harass on lvl 25 you are usually the tankiest hero in the match and you need to tank up even more not to increase attack range that you really need in mid game, but 15%+ life steal was really nice and needed
