It's very situational, and should never be your default build. Basically it depends entirely on the relative later game strengths of both teams. If it suits you to go late, sure, if not, don't.

As Sofa said - a big issue for PA is that her lovely 50% evasion should be lost against the opposition carry come 30 mins or so (unless they're dumb or can't get any farm). This gives you a reason to fight early, although you have to bear in mind magic damage.

BF makes sense on her in terms of giving her raw damage (good with crits), plus the regen to keep farming constantly, e.g. jungle. With Phantom Strike as a pseudo-blink you can farm reasonably quickly, even if you're not Anti-Mage. Combine with a fast Helm of the Dominator, and you can work your way through stacks.

I actually played her recently - team needed a carry and opposition had an Anti-Mage. They actually ended up with a Faceless Void offlane too - so a long game was not advisable. Ended up with a slightly crazy build: (bear in mind it was 2v2 lanes and I had Omniknight as support)

Poor Man's Shield -> Power Treads -> Medallion of Courage (much underrated on her) -> Morbid Mask -> Armlet of Mordiggian -> Helm of the Dominator -> Skull Basher -> Satanic.

Weird build I know - had to react to their Lina and be able to soak up Chronosphere too. We lost the game on about 65 minutes, having taken a rax mid 30's but not been able to follow it up.

Quite frustrating - just couldn't convince our Storm Spirit to get involved early and he ended up being largely useless, even after I spelt out that T2 tower < Rax and he joined the team (again, explained the whole concept of jumping in with a Lifestealer/ Orchid Malevolence combo to take Void out of the fights), it was too late.

The big take home from this ramble is that she can fight early, and Medallion of Courage can be really, really good. If you can't convince a support to buy it, consider it yourself. I killed their Anti-Mage from half health while laning (no crits) - throw a dagger, medallion him before it hits, and follow up instantly with Phantom Strike.

Hmm... I haven't seen the Omelette PA in a long time.

I'll try Medallion once or twice, see what happens.

What do you guys think of Phase Boots PA?

Well, it was a response to a weird situation, but I think people write off Omelette too quickly - it's extremely cheap and powerful when you need midgame presence, also great for tanking nukes. Obviously, not ideal if you're looking to go 6 slotted.

Medallion - better if a support gets it, but well worth a look.

Phase Boots or Power Treads - I think either is pretty legit. The raw damage of phase stacks with your crit. Treads attack speed means you crit a little more often. She's mobile enough thanks to Phantom Strike that you don't necessarily need phase. Treads can make you a bit tougher. Depends what you need at the time.

Also depends on the enemy team a bit if bfury pa will work really well or is really needed. if your team lacks AoE Bfury PA can make up for it (especially if you need AoE because PL or someone else that's battled with AoE).

But if going bfury you do need a team who can 4v5 in early game fairly well.

I'm new in the world of DotA, so I may be wrong, but, I really like to build Diffusal in PA, it's a cheap item, it gives nice stats, and, the most important, it's not an UAM. So, the Threads, Diffusal, HotD (later build into a Satanic), Skull Basher those are my favorite items in PA. The other slots are pretty much situational, but most of the times, I build BKB as well.

BF is i guess the best thing synergising with the godlike crit. You can farm and fight as well. It gives some decent damage as well as you have perseverance you can just jump on them with just bf and normally you can kill them without them getting a mkb so its good early too guess.
GG anyway

Some good points - however, Bfury will always be a farming item (unless you're Ember Spirit).

You reminded me... Bfury does somewhat counter evasion... because you can hit the guy beside him (and I don't think you can evade cleave)

No you can't evade the cleave but farming for 20 minutes gives the enemy more time to counter you by getting all the bars. Even only Black King Bars are enough to severely cut down your effectiveness. A few patches ago it was good, then it was situational, now it's utterly situational.
