This one was designed with tertiary resources in mind, along the lines of Visage's soul charges. Balathos is a semicarry who scales pretty well, and can become pretty scary if allowed to snowball. Anyway, without further ado let's get into it.

The times of the Mad King Archronicus are shrouded in legend, making difficulties for any historian studying the tyrant and his court. A few facts are, however, most definite; that the people rose in revolution from their insane overlord, and that he was torn apart by the demons he summoned, bound forever in a stone prison. But that is another story.

When Highlord Endeton came to claim the palace in the name of the revolution, he was merciless in dealing with Archronicus' court. Courtiers, generals, sorcerers and even jesters were executed. All was unclean; all must be purged. However, one remained behind after these troubled times, Archronicus' astromancer and Warlock Lord: Balathos. How Balathos bargained his freedom is unknown, but it is almost certain that the Mad Moon, hovering menacingly above all, was involved. Balathos lost his titles and position, but he laboured secretly to unknown ends in hidden laboratories under Endeton's palace.

And there, his tale merely ends. The last writings of his found speak of an 'event horizon' upcoming, and from then on is silence. Balathos disappears from history, and this unresolved mystery lingers to the present. Still, when the Mad Moon broke and shattered Endeton's rebuilt kingdom forever, the falling Ancients were not the only lights in the sky…

Since this part of the forum's been dead for a bit and this hasn't seen any love... bump? I thought this was a pretty interesting concept.

The Dark Star system is insightful. To me, the delight of this hero 60% comes from this alone, and 40% from how you tweak it. I want to discuss about the tweak and to clarify some things.

Q and E are not standard thanks to Dark Star and the ultimate. So - sorry for this silly metaphor - they are like an average steak with very delicious seasoning. Abilities that are quite similar but delicious in any way, let's say, Ezalor's illuminate and his ulti. It's fun and original, and the ultimate just simply add the fun. My point, perhaps they can be improved.

R is just one of Dark Star's bread n butter, so yeah, it's irreplaceable.

I don't quite understand the ulti. Do you actually mean "cost 1 Dark Star per second?" If that's the case, that's just... wow.
