Hey all.

Now, I've been quite upset recently because of the new "the incident" thread going on. I don't think that's bad thread, or you guys should stop talking about it, but my main concern is that it buries everything DotA-related in the "Recent Discussion" thing in the home page.

So what if off-topic threads don't show up in that box?

We cannot restrict off-topic threads from appearing there, you'll just have to accept it.

Aaaand "the incident" is now in my thread about girl gamers, you devils! :P

But I've given up on that, clearly there are no more women around, you scared them away.

Are you suggesting I'm too much already, as in "this is like Calvin's club, we don't want girls"? :P

PS: SEA servers. I want EU :(

I'd actually suggest adding some sort of "filters" instead into the recent discussions, based on the forum types (News, theory crafting, general discussion, matchmaking, et cetera). Doing this will allow people to easily find what they're trying to find (e.g: recent discussion on heroes they create or if they want to talk about non dota from off-topic threads), while excluding topics they don't want to see (e.g: casual player would be more likely to filter off matchmaking threads, while people that don't like idea-making can easily filter off the hero and item ideas). I think it should be possible, no?

I'll think about it, I'll ask the devs if this can be added, we'll see.

The Mobafire/allfires devs are already hard at work with other features. Burying them with other features is basically pointless since I can go through 3 or 4 days' posts on the recent discussion.

There are also new threads created daily, one of which might interest someone. Adding filters would probably make communicating and finding interesting threads way harder and by far more frustrating.

Or we could add tags to each of our threads. Then you can filter by tags.
