Yes, kind of: I think some "LoL mechanics" won't work into Dota 2 unless some Heroes get nerfed or completely reworked, and one of them is the cooldown reduction. They've never added cooldown reduction in all those years, and I'm pretty sure that Octarine Core will make some Heroes terribly op. The spell lifesteal is another feature that seems weird on Dota, but it won't be as gamebreaking as the cooldown reduction, though some Heroes can abuse it ( Zeus, Leshrac, Timbersaw and the list goes on).

Seriously though, I don't mind the other items (some of them like the Sange + Shadow Blade one actually look great), but cooldown reduction? Really?

Man, this item. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a core late game item on any carry that needs initiation. Shadow Fiend, Slark, Tiny and even Troll Warlord just got buffed (and hard), because their 6-slot inventory is way way stronger now, it's like a free slot.

Even Blink Dagger heroes like Templar Assassin have a way better 6-slot with this item.

I love the hell out of this "you can be a ganker and a hard carry at the same time" item. 6.84, the assassin meta :)

The Sange and Shadow Blade one also makes SnY a little better on these heroes. And in general.

Since rather than selling off the Sange, you've now got two good items you can make from it, as opposed to the one. (Since Halberd is meh as a carry item).

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Okay, so now you can rush Sange and Yasha on any carry who wants both an upgraded late game Shadow Blade AND a Manta Style.

- Luna? Racecar Luna owns, and shadowblade ganking Luna is legit.
- Shadow Fiend...even though rushing shadowblade is probably better
- Slark. Makes SnY Slark playable, it used to be pretty trash.
- Juggernaut. Did Icefrog just buff Jugg? Now he has a built-in initiation item to land Omni in the late game. One free item slot for Jugger?
- Templar Assassin. SnY TA new meta? She really needs MS.
- Dragon Knight, another buff to the hero IMO...although I like my blink on him.
- Tiny. SnY Tiny? Why not. Max MS here we go.
- Chaos Knight...if you really like ganking CK, otherwise manta/halberd is still way more natural.
- Troll Warlord. Free item slot for Troll here we go. And a natural upgrade to SnY. Here, I said it, Troll got buffed this patch. He lost 15 damage but now he has a way, way better 6-slot.

Am I the only one who's really upset by the Winter's Curse nerf? 70% damage reduction on the target of the curse, and +20 seconds cooldown. Sure, the range is bigger, and it lasts .5 seconds longer, but how are you supposed to kill the person you use Curse on? I mean really, that seems like the most counter-intuitive thing I've ever seen in a patch.

"Those cursed to attack their ally now take 70% less damage from all sources. "

The target doesn't get a damage reduction, his teammates get damage reduction.
There's no earthy way of knowing which direction we are going. There's no knowing where we're rowing, or which way the river's flowing. Is it raining, is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing? Not a speck of light is showing, so the danger must be growing. Are the fires of Hell a-glowing? Is the grisly Reaper mowing?! YES! The danger must be growing! For the rowers keep on rowing! And there's certainly not showing ANY SIGNS THAT THEY ARE SLOWING!

I think everybody fails to realize what one of the biggest issues here is...

Octarine Core.

We're going to have disgusting AP carry Bristles.

Spell lifesteal + 25% reduced CD on Quill Spray.

Just think about that for one ****ing moment...


Also, Morphling + Io is now broken.

So many things about this patch. Morphling, holy ****.

Who needs Arc Warden when we have reworked Lone Druid amirite?
